small spaces, big impact

Our client challenged us to create multiple his-and-her spaces inside a historic home in the city. Working within a small footprint, we were able to create a big impact with complementary first and second floors, each of which feels both functional and grand. The first floor comprises “his” space, featuring a sophisticated yet warm study boasting a home bar, an intricate sound system, and casual seating oriented around a television and fireplace. The entire space is outfitted in a cozy wood-veneer wallcovering. The second floor is home to “her” zone, a more serene and ethereal space that’s wallpapered in a stunning print by a contemporary artist. The two spaces are united by a spacious and sophisticated bath and custom-designed closet.
